WHAT IS NATURAL WINE?

Natural wine” is a broad term that is used to describe traditional and ancient styles of winemaking. Producers tend to their vineyards by using organic or biodynamic farming principles and practices that eschew from the use of synthetic pesticides or unnecessary chemicals in the grapes’ growth, harvest and fermentation into wine.

Sulfites are added in considerably lower quantities than conventional wines, if added at all, allowing the wine to showcase a pure and unique snapshot of time, circumstance and life. Grapes are harvested and pressed by hand with the artful romance of creation tangible in every step of the process. The final product is a wine that captures a unique and nuanced representation of the culture, beauty, and living history of its region.

Natural wines are made in small batches and allocations are limited making certain vintages, cuvées and producers highly coveted, rare and extremely collectible.

When enjoying a glass (or bottle!) you can expect to experience an evocative and energetic juice with as much or more complexity and nuance than conventional wine. You are tasting the expression of a place and time captured without anything added or subtracted; the pure essence of unrefined nature.

Enjoy the journey.
