The vines grow wild in soils of schist and limestone and receive generous breezes coming off of nearby Lake Neusiedlersee on a plot that Tschida’s family has cultivated for over 200 years. Traditional low-intervention methods of hand-picking and foot stomping are used; we experience aromas of woody undergrowth, ripe dark berries, dark spices.
